Goodnight Nobody
Goodnight Nobody is a debut fictional novel by SEÁN GABLER
"...a captivating dark read."
"...equal parts nostalgia and nihilism, a stiff drink for '90s kids."
The world is ending, at least for Hamish Crook, a consummate catastrophizer, it most certainly is. A massive comet is projected to pass Earth on the same day as his estranged mother's funeral. Hamish finds himself in the neighborhood pub in Queens with his bartender friend, Pierce, a notable figure in the underground hardcore punk rock scene. Through recollection and discussions with Pierce, Gemma, his soon-to-be ex-wife, Father Rota, an optimistic old priest, and his life-long magnet for trouble pals, Colton Eusini and Lucio Pernetti, we learn just how Hamish's enthusiasm for life had been hollowed out. Are we not all doomed?
Goodnight Nobody is a fictional novel about human behavior, the ramifications of our decisions and our love of self-destruction.
